Preparing For Assessment
Overcoming Nerves
Below are some tips on preparing for your BYTSYZ Final Assessment:
- Start preparing for your assessment the day you start your study
- Begin revision early - this will give your brain time to get comfortable with the information
- Conduct short daily revision sessions - you can ease into more intense review sessions prior to your Final Assessment
- Plan revision as part of your study schedule
- Revision is much more than just reading and rereading your coursework, ask yourself questions on the material that you are unsure of
- Revise for several short periods rather than one long period as you retain information better and get less tired
- Revise the most difficult material when you are alert, such as materials with dates and facts
- Turn the main points of each topic or heading into questions and check to see if the answers come to you quickly and correctly
- Try to predict questions; then outline your answers
Remember you can practice your assessment ability as often as you wish with the BYTSYZ Trial Assessments, which are available to you throughout the course of your study.
