Course Description

This accredited online course gives a broad introduction to delivering effective person centred care for those who deliver care or support others in their own home.

This online course explores:

  • The key principles of person centred care through exploring values and rights. The application of an approach to care planning and various care planning models
  • Risk Assessment
  • The role of the care worker as part of a team, including responsibilities, being reliable and dependable, relationships and the multi-disciplinary team approach to care delivery
  • The support and development available for care workers, including where to get advice, the supervisory process and the importance of personal development

This online course provides an introduction for care workers who wish to develop their knowledge in this area of practice.

Due to the experience and previous knowledge of the individual completing the course, BYTSYZ has built in explanations of all new and technical terms that the student may be facing for the first time.

To further embed this new and often complex learning BYTSYZ has included a number of care related exercises to encourage:
