The course provides all the knowledge update requirements for individuals on the safe control, handling and administration of medicines in social and domiciliary care environments.

In addition the course examines the concept of risk assessment and how this is used to determine the ability of a service user to safely self-administer their own medication. The legislation surrounding the control of medicines is examined and the impact it has on practice examined.
