Ofsted said:
"I understand that you have contacted Ofsted regarding child protection training. I'm afraid that we do not have a definition of what 'nationally recognised' might mean; Ofsted does not have any powers to recognise or otherwise such training. We also do not have any publications that indicate what the training should include.
When inspecting schools, inspectors will check whether staff have received CP training and any necessary updating, but would not look at the detail of such training.
